Once you have created a plan you are ready to start setting it up.

ย

Step 1: Validate your baseline

Review your baseline in your engine and ensure it reflects reality. Your baseline provides a projection of your performance if nothing changes in the business and is used as the base to calculate your plan goals and projections within your plan.

During the implementation phase of Growblocks, our team will work with you to get the right global baseline in place.

ย

When you create a new plan, you may want to adjust your baseline for this specific plan. In this case you will want to create plan specific overrides. This is the time to look at this, as the rest of your plan is built upon your baseline.

Take a look at our guides on overrides to learn more:

ย

Make sure you have your current team added in the people tab.

ย

A quick word about people:

  • Any people (in terms of roles, hires and leavers) saved in the plan will impact your baseline.
  • Any people saved in the plan at the time of setting a plan goal will be included in your plan goal.
  • Any changes to people after setting your plan goal will be included in your projection but not in your plan goal.
  • As people are always included in your baseline, re-saving your plan goal will include the latest people in your plan goal calculations.
