We use 3 different dates in Growblocks when planning. This article gives you an overview of the purpose of each.
ย
- Plan date range
The plan date range is set when you create a new plan.
- It specifies the period of time you can see within your plan.
- You can always change the plan date range in Plan settings.
ย
ย
- Planning date
The planning date is also set when you create a new plan. This is an important date as it specifies the month you are calculating plan goals from.
- In calculating plan goals, Growblocks uses the rolling window of actuals up until the planning date as the historic actuals.
- By default the planning date is set to the end of last full month of actuals and can always be changed on the Assumptions tab.
ย
ย
- Projection date
Last, but not least, the Projection date is the date used for calculating your future performance (projection).
- In calculating your projection, Growblocks uses the rolling window of actuals up until the projection date as the historic actuals.
- The projection date is always the current date (today).
