In the action form for processing metrics (eg CVR, average days/sales cycle, ACV) you will see an option to show the values realized, modeled or both.
Initiatives, Assumptions and Overrides are all types of actions you can apply to your model. All 3 are found under the Actions tab.
General use across the engine:
For ease of use, and easy understanding of what, for example, a converstion rate is for a specific period we show the realized values.
Lead to MQL conversion rate
100 Leads generated in January
10 new MQLs in January
= 10% realized conversion rate.
The impact of actions on your projections is calculated on top of the modeled data, which is in the example above could be 9.4% for January as we use the rolling window average of previous months as well.
Drilling down to different segments (e.g. regions) the values that make up that 9.4% could vary greatly depending on the volume and performance of the different segments.
When calculating changes In the action form we give the option to view the modelled value of the processing metric so you can see the exact data your action is being applied to and the exact result the model uses to calculate your projections.
